Motley Crue – THE DIRT (movie review)
By Dom Rini
I’m going to be brief and get to the point. This movie was taken from the Nikki Sixx book and was a pretty good representation of it. The chronological factors were about 70% accurate in my eyes but who cares what I think. I thought the movie flowed very well. The acting, as best as they could for these parts did a good job pulling it off. I enjoyed how they started the band up and all that good stuff, things people never really think about. It does take a lot of good chemistry to keep a band together and harmonious.
In my opinion I think MGK did a great job pulling off the Tommy Lee role. He looked so seasonal on the drums and played his character very well. Most of the times you were so sucked into the story-line that you forget they are just actors and its just a movie. Which was good, because I have a habit for over analyzing movies and commercials. The kid who played Skyler did a pretty good job and had me believing her. The sad parts where pretty touching.
I think if you are a fan of Motley Crue and want to see something fun for a change than check it out. It’s worth it. Plus it had lots and lots of boobs in it! I wanted to see more Corabi material in it but hey you only have so much time to put into a movie. I recommend it!
4/5 Boobs Rating
Would really love to see this broke down into more pieces.
Check out Motley Crue’s movie THE DIRT its everywhere but they say exclusively on Netflix.
Oh one thing that bugged me out was Mick Mars guitar. It was an Epiphone and not a Les Paul Custom. Must have been product placement. That’s about it. Take an hour of your life and check it out. Had some good music in it. Oh one more thing. When Nikki was a little kid he destroyed his record collection and I saw a Kiss Dynasty record! That came out in 79. The scene was supposed to be 75 or something like that.

Dom took to the road and went to Wizard World Con and snagged some pretty sweet interviews, with authors Will O’Shire, and Matthew Wolf. Dom also caught up with Kato as well, for only a promo ID. Also on the show was a special call in with Marzi Montazeri from Heavy as Texas. Just getting caught up with him and the release date. Also great quick little call with old friend Butch Patrick whom played Eddie Munster. It was such a cool show tonight.

Avatar has announced a new live LP today titled The King Live In Paris recorded live at Download Festival 2018 held in Paris, France. The new release underscores fan favorites such as “A Statue Of The King,” “Let It Burn,” and “Hail The Apocalypse.”
“Looking back at all that’s happened and what’s still going on it feels more like a document from a pivotal battle than a live album,” says frontman Johannes Eckerström.
“In the past, I’ve found it hard to motivate making something like this, but as time goes on, I find it fortunate that we get to have our work captured like this. I realize now more than ever that we are in the process of constant change. This release is a version of Avatar that didn’t exist a year prior, and that already has morphed into something else. The show at Download Paris was a particular one for many reasons. We are very proud of the result.”
Avatar will release The King Live In Paris on May 17, 2019, via Entertainment One (eOne). Pre-orders are available today with “Bloody Angel” serving as an iTunes instant gratification track, meaning fans who pre-order the album on iTunes will receive “Bloody Angel” as an immediate download.

Avatar released their seventh, and most Royal, full length, Avatar Country last year via Entertainment One. The LP debuted at #2 Indie, #4 Hard Music, #8 Rock, and #25 on the Billboard 200 Chart.
Critics praised the release as well. NEW NOISE MAGAZINE said Avatar Country was “the culmination of the group’s evolution into a singular powerhouse, a trip into the heart of what makes metal so distinctively powerful.”
LOUDWIRE called the opening track “Glory To Our King” sounds like “it could’ve come straight off of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club, a warm and over the top introduction to the rest of the album.” And finally, METAL INJECTION called Avatar Country “a wonderful ride.”
