Eddie Van Halen’s cause of death, reveals burial site

After two months  the results have concluded underlying death and other symptoms leading causes. EVH’s death certificate shows that he had died following a stroke. (TMZ has reported). Also stated that he had pneumonia and MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome) and lung cancer as his underlying causes.

Eddie, a recovering alcoholic and longtime smoker, was first diagnosed with tongue cancer in 2000. The disease returned this past decade and Eddie battled it for the final years of his life, taking frequent trips to Germany to undergo treatment.

His son Wolfgang Van Halen revealed in a conversation with Howard Stern last month that his father outlived one grim lung cancer prognosis by three years.

Eddie’s body was cremated in late-October and one of his final wishes was for his ashes to be scattered into the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Malibu.
